We are seeking a technically strong Data Engineer to drive the integration of a new retail banking platform into our enterprise data landscape. In this high-impact role, you will bridge modern cloud ecosystems with central architecture by consuming data from cloud-based data lakes, APIs, and real-time data streams to feed our existing data warehouse and data marts. You will lead end-to-end integration efforts by analyzing complex source systems, defining precise source-to-target mapping rules, and designing scalable logical and physical data models. Beyond core SQL and ETL execution, collaboration and data trust are central to your mission: you will partner directly with cross-functional business stakeholders, application teams, and data owners to establish clear data definitions, implement robust data quality and reconciliation controls, and maintain complete technical documentation and data lineage across the organization. Main Responsibilities Consume data from cloud-based data lakes, APIs and/or data streams and load it into the enterprise data warehouse. Analyse source data and define source-to-target mappings and transformation rules. Design and maintain logical and physical data models. Integrate new data into existing data warehouse structures and data marts. Work with business stakeholders to define data meaning, ownership and usage. Define and implement data-quality checks and reconciliation controls. Support data lineage, metadata, governance and documentation. Produce clear technical and functional documentation for data flows, models and transformations. Qualifications & Technical Skills Strong SQL, data modelling, ETL/data integration and data warehouse experience Experience with data quality, lineage/governance and stakeholder requirements Banking or financial-services experience is strongly preferred Familiarity with AWS data sources/data lakes or streaming concepts (deep AWS platform-engineering expertise not required) Professional Growth & Learning As a tech company, we focus on reskilling and upskilling to support career growth.
