Introduction Hours: 36–40 hours per week Start date: ASAP Duration: Until 1 February 2027 Location: Hybrid (75% on-site) The relocation is not possible for this role Job description To start with, the position of Global IHQ Business Controller (IT) sits comfortably in the Global Group Control Department. As a Global IHQ Business Controller you will be asked to be the financial business partner to Central Function (HQ) teams, and Financially responsible for P&L below GP, Balance Sheet and Operating Working Capital and Business partner to IT. Other Central Function could be expected from the Business Controller, like; Marketing, HR, Facilities, R&D and Supply Chain. For this, we don’t need you to just be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks: Reporting: - Drive and perform the month-end closing process - Responsible for monthly financial and management reporting for complete P&L, Balance Sheet and Operating Working Capital., both internal and external, and related period-end-closing activities like analysis of results and balance sheet items. - Responsible for providing on-time reports. Correct, timely and accurate delivery of financial management reports. - Be the driver for compliance with specific cost management, PO and analytics tooling. Planning & Control: - Prepare the annual operating plan, following the deadlines and instructions provided centrally and accurately. - Monthly forecast review with the budget owners responsible primarily for IT and potentially other departments. - Business partner for budget owners, proactively thinking along with the business to come up with process improvements. - Strong coordination with the Vendor Management team to align on costing and potential saving opportunities. - Responsible for proper balance sheet management, in line with the relevant internal and external accounting and reporting guidelines in coordination with the financial controlling team. - Interpreting and applying the Finance instruction provided by corporate to compliance with Corporate Policy and roles People management & projects: - Participate in or lead (cross-)functional, local as well as international projects. - Be a high performing finance professional through strong coordination skills with budget holders, other business controllers and financial controllers. - Act as a linking pin between departments and the controllers team - ensure cross-functional alignment. But to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you: - Minimum 8-10 years of relevant working experience, preferably in similar IT Business Control roles. - Strongly analytical and experienced business modelling (financial and non-financial) - Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. - Experience with Stakeholder Management. - Strong understanding of (commercial) business acumen.
Core Responsibilities
Act as the financial business partner for IT and other central functions, managing the P&L, balance sheet, and operating working capital. Responsible for driving month-end closing, financial reporting, and the annual operating plan.
Requirements
Requires 8-10 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably in IT business control roles. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, business acumen, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
