Job Description

About The Role Fyffes is looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead and coordinate Human Resources activities across Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. In this role, you will translate Fyffes’ global initiatives and European HR strategy into effective country-level actions. Working closely with local management teams and the Regional HR Director Europe, you will provide strategic and operational HR guidance that supports business priorities, strengthens the employee experience and ensures compliance with company standards and local legislation. This is a broad HR leadership role covering business partnering, talent management, organisation design, total rewards, payroll and HR administration. Key Responsibilities HR business partnering Translate the Global and European HR strategy into relevant local HR plans and actions. Partner with local management teams and team leaders to understand business needs and develop appropriate HR solutions. Support HR budgeting in collaboration with business leaders, Finance and the Regional HR Director. Use HR data, KPIs and employee engagement results to identify priorities and drive follow-up actions. Continuously improve the employee experience through effective, employee-focused HR processes and practices. Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with local legislation, collective agreements and company policies. Promote adherence to health, safety, quality and environmental standards, including the Fyffes LifeSaver programme. Talent management and development Manage local talent activities, from recruitment in partnership with Talent Acquisition through to talent planning and development. Lead local talent reviews and ensure agreed talent actions are implemented. Support succession planning for key local positions. Identify development needs and coordinate relevant professional and leadership development initiatives. Manage local employer branding activities and help strengthen Fyffes’ position as an employer. Organisation design Advise local management on organisation design and workforce structure. Ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and communicated. Coordinate the regular review of job descriptions and job evaluations. Apply internal and external benchmarking to support appropriate organisational decisions. Total rewards and payroll Manage local compensation and benefits processes, including salary reviews, bonus calculations, payroll, pensions and labour-cost inputs. Partner with external payroll providers and Finance to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. Support compensation offers and internal compensation assessments, ensuring consistency and internal equity. Benchmark salaries, benefits, policies and local pay practices. Analyse compensation data and recommend actions to address potential pay gaps and pay-equity risks. Support mid-year and year-end performance and reward cycles. Contribute to remuneration reporting, pay-transparency requirements and related employee communications. Partner with the Regional HR Director Europe, Reward and business leaders to support the consistent application of job architecture, grading and compensation policies. HR operations and administration Manage employee lifecycle processes from onboarding through to offboarding. Oversee the administration of pensions, insurance and other statutory or company-sponsored benefits. Coordinate immigration and work-authorisation processes, including visas, work permits and residence documentation. Ensure employee information in Oracle remains accurate and up to date. Manage relevant external HR vendors and service providers. Monitor legislative developments affecting employment administration, benefits, social security and immigration across Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. What You Bring A degree or professional qualification in Psychology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HR Business Partner role. Fluency in Dutch, English and German is essential. Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP HR, workday,…) Strong compensation, analytical and data-interpretation skills. Payroll, experience with Belgian, Dutch and/or German labour law

Core Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate HR activities across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany, translating global strategy into local actions. Manage business partnering, talent development, organization design, and total rewards to support business priorities.

Requirements

Requires a degree in HR, Psychology, or Business with at least 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner. Fluency in Dutch, English, and German is essential, along with proficiency in HRIS systems and knowledge of regional labour laws.
