You will join a multidisciplinary team of IT, engineering, and manufacturing professionals who collaborate closely to support and optimize our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) landscape. About The Role As an MES System Specialist, you are responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and optimization of Manufacturing Execution Systems, with a strong focus on Körber’s PASX platform. You play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring system stability, enabling continuous improvements, and driving innovation in digital manufacturing. You act as a technical expert and trusted partner to stakeholders across IT, engineering, and production. This is a dynamic role where system expertise, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving come together to deliver high-impact solutions. Key Responsibilities Analyze and design information systems and processes related to MES Support manufacturing by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions Drive continuous improvement through analysis, optimization, and innovation of MES processes Design, deploy, and maintain Körber PASX MES solutions and integrations Develop and maintain system documentation, including SOPs, training materials, and user guides Perform system testing, validation, and qualification activities Investigate incidents, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions Ensure compliance with GxP regulations and internal quality standards Monitor system performance and proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities Collaborate with vendors on system upgrades, integrations, and enhancements Support end-users through training and on-floor assistance Participate in cross-functional projects aligned with business objectives Your profile Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Information Systems, or a related field Extensive experience in regulated industries (pharma, biotech, food, or similar) Proven hands-on experience with Körber PASX MES systems, including integrations (Level 2–4) Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, data flows, and system integrations Knowledge of GxP environments, validation processes, and compliance requirements Experience with industrial data platforms and protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Aveva PI, Kepware) Strong knowledge of databases and query languages (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) Understanding of OT/IT architectures (ISA-95 / ISA-99) and secure network design Familiarity with system infrastructure concepts (e.g., load balancing, failover clusters) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex manufacturing environments Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration Fluent in English Experience with Agile methodologies Knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized applications Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) Scripting skills (PowerShell or Python) What We Offer We offer a truly global, dynamic, and challenging environment where digital excellence directly supports patient and animal health.
