This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Global Infrastructure at ING. You will play a leading role in defining strategic direction, driving transformation, and ensuring that Global Infrastructure delivers measurable value to ING through a product-led operating model. The team This role forms part of the Global Infrastructure management team. Global Infrastructure is the technology backbone of ING, providing the platforms, networks, cloud services, and core technology foundations that power digital banking across the world. Automation & Orchestration sits at the heart of this landscape, defining how infrastructure is designed, automated, secured, and operated at scale. Global Infrastructure is accelerating the adoption of standardised global platforms across more than 10 countries. The tribe lead Consumer Adoption will play a critical role in reducing technology fragmentation, increasing platform adoption, and delivering measurable reductions in infrastructure complexity and cost. You will provide functional leadership to all Country Infrastructure heads and oversee a global team of approximately 30 professionals. In this role, you will partner closely with senior stakeholders across Technology, Architecture, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and country organisations to drive strategic infrastructure outcomes. Roles & Responsibilities As tribe lead Consumer Adoption, you will shape how Global Infrastructure solutions are adopted and consumed across ING while leading a critical capability that enables large-scale transformation. Leading senior stakeholder engagement and acting as the primary interface between Global Infrastructure and its consumers. Driving adoption, onboarding, and transition programmes that accelerate the move to global platforms and services. Orchestrating priorities, dependencies, and escalations across countries and technology domains to ensure predictable outcomes. Guiding stakeholders towards standardised solutions that strengthen architectural integrity and reduce fragmentation. Overseeing service, contract, and lifecycle governance to ensure transparent, compliant, and scalable service consumption. Embedding a product-led operating model across infrastructure services, ensuring platforms are managed through clear customer outcomes, adoption measures, value creation and lifecycle accountability. Technical Skills Functional emphasis: Adoption leadership, demand shaping, transition governance, country alignment, stakeholder orchestration and service consumption governance. Infrastructure service consumption models across IaaS, PaaS, network, data centre, automation and operations. Service catalogue and onboarding: service definitions, adoption journeys, criteria and migration runbooks. Transition and migration governance: dependencies, risks, cutover planning and legacy-to-global migration. Architecture compliance: guiding consumers to approved reference architectures and target-state platforms. Demand and capacity alignment: translating country/domain demand into platform roadmaps and investment priorities. Lifecycle and contract governance: legacy exits, supplier dependencies and transparent consumption governance. Adoption metrics and value tracking: utilisation, cost reduction, complexity reduction and benefits realisation. Cross-domain technical fluency to challenge solutions and resolve adoption blockers. Note: Tribe Lead level technical fluency — intended for direction-setting, architectural challenge, risk governance, investment steering and senior engineering leadership; not a hands-on engineer requirement.
