About the Role Social Deal is looking for a QA Engineer / Software Tester who can identify issues before they affect users and help ensure that the company's apps, websites, and internal systems consistently deliver a high-quality experience. You will be responsible for manual software testing, bug management, test planning, release validation, and quality improvement across iOS and Android applications, websites, and CRM systems. This role goes beyond simply finding bugs. You will work closely with Quality Assurance, Development, Support, Product Owners, and UX teams to understand requirements, improve testing processes, and help deliver reliable software to millions of users. Social Deal is open to Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior Software Testers, depending on experience and expertise. Key Responsibilities Perform manual testing of existing and newly developed software. Test iOS and Android applications, websites, and CRM systems. Conduct functional, release, live, bug, and visual testing. Identify, investigate, document, and track software defects. Take ownership of bug management, ensuring issues are accurately described and properly communicated. Work closely with Support, Quality Assurance, and Development teams to investigate and resolve issues. Prepare test activities for upcoming projects and new functionalities. Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Identify required test data, environments, materials, and scenarios before testing begins. Validate software releases and ensure functionality meets defined requirements. Contribute to improving testing processes, methodologies, and best practices. Support the implementation of quality-focused improvements across the development lifecycle. Assist Testers and Product Owners in defining product requirements and specifications. Communicate testing results, defects, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders. Respond proactively to unexpected issues and testing requirements. QA Team & Collaboration You will work as part of a multidisciplinary QA organization consisting of: 6 Product Owners 6 Software Testers 4 UX Designers You will also collaborate closely with the Development team, which consists of approximately 50 professionals across four divisions: Back-end Development Front-end Development Infrastructure Mobile Development The role requires strong cross-functional communication and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues. Required Qualifications At least 1 year of experience as a Software Tester is preferred. Knowledge of software testing methodologies. Experience creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong quality orientation and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems. Ability to respond effectively to ad hoc testing requirements. Fluent Dutch at C1/C2 level. Good working knowledge of English. Constructive and collaborative attitude. Willingness to learn, develop, and continuously improve. Ability to work in a dynamic software development environment. Preferred Technical Skills Experience with Jira. Experience with Confluence. Experience testing mobile applications. Experience testing websites and web applications. Experience testing CRM systems. The role is primarily based at Social Deal's office in ’s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. After successfully completing the onboarding period, employees may have the opportunity to work partially from home. The position is available for 32–40 hours per week.
