Curious about the role AI will play in the legal profession?

We are excited to share that Freshfields will host the NextGen AI Event on 6–7 November 2026 (starting Friday at 13:00 and concluding Saturday at 14:00) at our Brussels office — two inspiring days at the forefront of legal innovation, bringing together participants from across Europe, including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain.

Get exclusive insights into how Freshfields works, discover the Freshfields Lab, and exchange ideas with our lawyers and experts on the future of legal advice and AI. Hands-on workshops, interactive sessions and short talks will show you first-hand how AI is shaping legal practice and how Freshfields helps clients navigate complex challenges in an increasingly dynamic world. Along the way, you'll have plenty of opportunities to connect with like-minded peers who share your interest in law, innovation and technology.

We particularly welcome candidates with a strong technical interest who want to combine high-end legal advisory work with innovative, technology-based solutions to legal challenges. Ideally, you bring some experience in coding, AI or data analysis.

Freshfields will cover the costs of your travel and hotel accommodation. Please note that the number of places for this event is limited. Please apply by 19 October 2026.

If you have any questions about the event, we will be happy to help anytime via [email protected].

Core Responsibilities

Participants will engage in workshops and interactive sessions to explore the intersection of AI and legal practice. Attendees will exchange ideas with experts and gain insights into how Freshfields utilizes technology to solve complex client challenges.
