We are looking for a proactive and analytical Supply Planner to join our team in Rotterdam, NL. In this role, you will own the end-to-end planning for a defined product portfolio, ensuring excellent service to our customers while balancing cost, inventory, and supplier performance. This is a great opportunity for both junior planners looking to grow and experienced professionals ready to make impact in a complex, fast-paced environment.
What you’ll do
- Own end-to-end planning for assigned products, from supplier to customer delivery.
- Plan and execute purchasing using SAP MRP, ensuring optimal order timing and quantities.
- Coordinate closely with Logistics, Operations, Customer Service, Product Management and Sales.
- Ensure high service levels (On Time In Full), while balancing cost, inventory and working capital.
- Manage inventory targets, safety stocks, reorder points and bad inventory reduction.
- Handle deviations, shortages, and non-conformances with timely escalation and clear communication.
- Monitor performance via Tableau reporting and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as point of contact for internal stakeholders and other Univar locations.
What you’ll need
- 4+ years of experience in supply planning, logistics, transport or customer service (junior profiles also welcome).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Operations, or related fields or equivalent experience.
- Experience with SAP and strong Excel skills (or willingness to learn).
- Fluent in English (additional European language is a plus).
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, ambiguous and fast-changing environment.
- Retail, chemical or distribution industry experience is a plus.
