You will be joining a newly created team, and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you. This position is available for full-time. It is a field-based role requiring (>50%) traveling to customers worldwide, with an initial focus on the EMEA region.

Identify, pursue and win high‑value, complex strategic opportunities across key markets and accounts by uncovering unmet needs, latent demand, and innovation‑driven use cases
Design end‑to‑end workflows and advanced technical concepts that directly influence customer decision pathways, operational processes, and regulatory considerations
Lead competitive differentiation and high‑stakes deal shaping by synthesizing deep technical, application, and market insights to construct compelling value‑creation narratives that maximize our win rate
Guide commercial strategy with Central Sales by defining technical and functional requirements that determine solution configuration, pricing logic, and deal construct for strategic opportunities
Shape the market and the portfolio by identifying trends, innovation points, and customer‑driven signals that influence product strategy, roadmap decisions, and market positioning
Drive early adoption and lighthouse success by embedding solutions into critical workflows, resolving escalated technical barriers, and enabling a seamless handover to Central Sales for scaling
Provide technical input to Central Sales, Business Unit stakeholders (e.g. PM, other BU Tech Sales roles) and Legal on the technical sections of contract terms and conditions to ensure technical feasibility, clear scope definition, reduced delivery risk, and alignment with customer workflows, without assuming commercial ownership
What Will Convince Us
A Master’s degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Genetics, Chemistry, Virology) forms the academic foundation for this role; a PhD is a plus
Extensive professional years of experience in senior technical sales, workflow consulting, application support, or presales within a scientific or technical environment are essential
Experience of new business development, growing and maintaining customers, develop and monitor sales pipeline
A demonstrated hunter mindset with a strong track record of identifying, advancing, and winning new opportunities is expected
Hands‑on technical expertise — including demos, trials, and customer evaluations — is a core part of the position
Strong consultative communication skills enable clear articulation of both technical and commercial value to diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in CRM systems and structured sales processes, combined with disciplined documentation practices is required
Willingness to travel more than 50%, with a strong focus on external customer engagements, is integral to the role
Business-fluent English is mandatory; German proficiency is an advantage
