Demand Planning internship at Kraft Heinz

The position 

Every internship at Kraft Heinz Netherlands offers unique learning opportunities to develop new knowledge and skills, gain real business experience, get exposure to senior leadership and attend personalized trainings. As an intern in the demand planning and customer collaboration team for Eastern Europe markets, you will own a small part of the portfolio to familiarize yourself with operations and processes, understand planning with different stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Supply and Distributors) and collaborative efforts for consensus volume commitment. You will be part of day-to-day activities and report that feed planning and drive decision-making. You will also support the Demand Planning team in continuous improvement projects to enhance our capabilities and impact on our business.

Tasks will include: 

  • Handle day to day request from your distributors, in collaboration with customer service and supply planners.
  • Generate and improve middle/long term forecast.
  • Manage a project to allow our small distributors to better follow their stock level and replenishment.
  • Optimization of processes.
  • Update of KPIs for the whole demand planning team.

Qualifications: 
Job requirements: 

  • EU/ EEA Students: you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university for at least 50% of the internship period. 
  • Non – EU student: you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university for the whole duration of the internship period. 
  • You are in the final year of your Bachelor or in doing your Master’s degree (preferably in Engineering / Supply Chain / Computer Science / Econometrics / Mathematics.  
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • NOTE: EU working rights are required(Either you have an EU Citizenship, or you are studying in the Netherlands). 

Professional Attributes: 

  • Computer proficiency: We spend lots of time on Excel. You need either good Excel knowledge or a willingness to learn. PowerQuery and AI prompting skills are a plus.
  • Analytical: We’re a very data driven company. You know how to translate complex data into a simple solution with your analytical mindset. 
  • Eagerness to learn about Supply Chain & Logistics in an international, fast-moving environment.
  • Communication Skills: At Kraft Heinz you’ll easily be exposed to senior management, no matter your level. Therefore, it’s important you have excellent communication skills, to deal with all kinds of different stakeholders. 
  • High pressure: You don’t get easily stressed by pressure; a demanding and dynamic environment is what keeps you energized.

Location: Amsterdam. 

This is a hybrid position (3 days at the office), you will need to be based in the Netherlands for the entire duration of the internship.

You will support the demand planning team by generating forecasts, managing distributor stock levels, and optimizing planning processes. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consensus on volume commitments and update key performance indicators.

Requirements

Candidates must be enrolled in a Dutch university for the duration of the internship and be in the final year of a Bachelor's or pursuing a Master's degree. Proficiency in English and strong analytical skills, particularly in Excel, are required, along with valid EU working rights.
