Introduction

GlobalFoundries is seeking an experienced Member of Technical Staff to join our IP Engineering organization in Eindhoven. In this role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of high-performance compute processor IP products. The position combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering responsibility. You will work with cross-functional teams across multiple locations, guide complex technical activities, and support high-quality and predictable product delivery. You will also contribute to engineering methodologies, technical reviews, process improvements, and the development of engineering talent.

Your Job

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or independently drive complex processor and compute IP development activities from concept through implementation, verification, signoff, and product delivery.

  • Provide technical expertise across architecture analysis, microarchitecture development, RTL design, implementation, functional verification, validation, and signoff.

  • Develop and review technical specifications, project execution plans, verification strategies, engineering methodologies, and quality-related documentation.

  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams on product development, technology roadmaps, methodology improvements, and technical customer engagements.

  • Drive engineering quality, execution predictability, process improvements, and automation while identifying and managing technical risks.

  • Contribute hands-on to technical problem-solving and mentor engineers through guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

  • At least 8 years of experience in digital IC or IP development, including digital front-end design, RTL implementation, verification, validation, or computational IP development.

  • Strong understanding of processor, memory, and system architectures.

  • Hands-on experience in one or more areas such as microarchitecture development, RTL design and implementation, simulation-based verification, formal verification, functional coverage, or signoff.

  • Proficiency with SystemVerilog, Verilog, UVM/OVM methodologies, and relevant EDA tools and development flows.

  • Programming or scripting experience using Python, C/C++, Perl, Shell, Assembly, or comparable languages.

  • Demonstrated technical leadership with ownership of complex engineering deliverables and the ability to assess priorities, risks, trade-offs, and signoff readiness.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to explain technical topics, influence decisions, and collaborate in a global engineering environment.

  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple engineering disciplines or locations.

  • Experience supporting customer-facing technical engagements.

  • Experience improving engineering methodologies, verification flows, automation, or quality processes.

  • Proven experience mentoring engineers and strengthening technical capabilities within an organization.

  • PhD or advanced specialization in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Expected Salary Range

69.465,60 € - 104.198,40 €
