Job Description

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It

Things break. Lights flicker. Doors squeak. And that’s where you come in. As our Maintenance Technician, you’re the go-to fixer, problem-spotter, and calm-in-the-chaos presence that keeps our hotel running smoothly behind the scenes. You work side by side with the Maintenance Manager to make sure guests, students, and teammates feel comfortable, safe, and taken care of every single day.

From quick repairs to preventative checks, you’re hands-on, practical, and always one step ahead. No two days look the same, and that’s exactly how you like it. You’re part of the local hub team, trusted to take ownership, work independently, and jump in where needed.

In Case You Don’t Know Who We Are

Known for being the rule breakers in hospitality, TSH is a fun, creative and inspiring environment where everyone can work, stay, learn and play and most importantly – be themselves. As an employer we look, act and think like a hotel, but instead we offer a lot more. Think student accommodation, long and short stay options, gyms, talks, events, rooftop bar and eat & drink escapes as well as community and coworking spaces. Located in The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, and the UK, with several new openings on the way, this hybrid hospitality concept may take root in the heart of Europe, but our plans are set for going global.

What You’ll Do

  • Handle day-to-day maintenance issues across the hotel, from plumbing and lighting to locks and small repairs
  • Complete daily walkarounds and keep indoor and outdoor areas clean, safe, and looking sharp
  • Carry out preventative maintenance checks to spot issues before they become problems
  • Tackle minor painting and cosmetic fixes when things need a refresh
  • Support and coordinate external contractors when specialist work is needed
  • Keep an eye on stock levels for tools, materials, and spare parts
  • Jump in on ad hoc tasks and support the Maintenance Manager when required

What You’ll Have

  • You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally in hospitality
  • You bring strong hands-on technical skills and enjoy fixing things yourself
  • You stay calm under pressure and like solving problems on the spot
  • You work independently but enjoy being part of a close-knit team
  • You’re flexible with tasks, schedules, and changing priorities
  • You speak the local language fluently
  • You bring a positive, professional, and guest-friendly attitude to everything you do

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to work at a dynamic, multi-national company. Not just another hotel - we’re a game changing innovator, challenging every convention and defining the future
  • The opportunity to work for a Certified B Corp® company that balances profit with positive impact, collaborating with organizations like Movement on the Ground and the TSH Talent Foundation to create meaningful change
  • The chance to learn and grow in your role with the potential for future growth
  • Awesome discounts in all our properties in Europe and not just for you, but also for your friends and family!
  • A wonderful workplace to call home, full of events, fun colleagues and all the other amazing salary/benefits stuff

Who you are, is how we want you to be. To us, hybrid hospitality goes across the board, from how we service our guests to how we represent ourselves. Here, everyone belongs, and we welcome people no matter their nationality, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion or culture. Your authenticity keeps our team diverse. Come as you are.

At The Social Hub, we believe pay should be fair and consistent. That's why we carefully determine your starting salary based on the role, your assessed proficiency, and our salary framework. We make our best and fairest offer upfront, so we don't negotiate salaries. Because fairness shouldn’t depend on who negotiates best.

Core Responsibilities

Perform daily maintenance tasks including plumbing, lighting, and lock repairs while conducting regular walkarounds to ensure facility safety and cleanliness. Coordinate with external contractors for specialized work and manage inventory levels for tools and spare parts.

Requirements

Requires at least 2 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably within the hospitality industry. Candidates must possess strong hands-on technical skills, the ability to work independently, and a professional, guest-friendly attitude.

Benefits

  • Discounts in all properties in Europe
  • Professional growth opportunities
  • Dynamic work environment
  • Events and social activities
