Job Description
Company Description
We are ibis Schiphol Amsterdam Airport, a three-star hotel with 644 rooms, 4 F&B outlets and most importantly, a team of 75 fantastic colleagues who are there for our guests every day! We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Receptionist with a true passion for hospitality to join our reception team.
Job Description
Here's what you'll do:
As a Receptionist at ibis Schiphol, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests. If a guest has a question, you'll happily investigate to assist them in the best way possible. Whether it's providing tips about the city, arranging a taxi, or informing them about breakfast timings, you'll ensure every guest leaves satisfied! You'll also assist our Front Office team with guest check-ins and check-outs, invoice preparation, and handling administrative tasks. Answering phone calls will also be part of your role.
Furthermore, you'll need to be resilient under stress and a true multitasker, as you'll need to promptly arrange rooms for stranded travelers from Schiphol.
Qualifications
Who you are:
- You love variety and are flexible in your availability, including weekends.
- You easily switch between different departments and enjoy being a team player.
- You're a go-getter but also take time to enjoy a coffee break with your colleagues.
- Since our guests and colleagues come from all over the world, it's helpful if you speak and write English alongside Dutch.
- Most importantly, you're highly motivated, work with a smile, and go that extra mile to ensure our guests have a pleasant stay.
Additional Information
What we offer:
- You'll work rotating shifts from 06:45 to 15:00 or from 14:45 to 23:00. But keep in mind, it's the hospitality industry, so don't take these times as set in stone!
- We are looking for part-time colleagues who would like to have some flexibility in the amount of hours/days per week.
- Our starting salary is €16,14 bruto per hour (scale 5 of the Hospitality CLA).
- Our Front Office team is diverse and enthusiastic, always ready to teach you new things. You'll also have the opportunity to spend a day shadowing another department, gaining insights into all aspects of hotel life.
- Ibis is part of the Accor family, so you'll get discounts on hotel stays worldwide.
- Of course, you'll also enjoy lunch or dinner with us, experience our hotel as a guest through our Employee Experience program, receive travel allowance from 5 km, and park your car for free when coming to work.
