Senior Systeem Architect – Semiconductor Systems
€8,500 - €12,000
Key Skills
Job Description
From Technology to Differentiated Products
Settels Savenije is evolving.
We are increasingly focused on the semiconductor industry, developing technologies that grow into proprietary IP, investing in future platforms, and building strategic partnerships across the semiconductor value chain.
This requires a different kind of system architect.
Not someone who primarily specifies systems or manages processes, but someone who turns technology into differentiated products and solutions.
Your Role
As a Senior System Architect, you define new systems, products, and technology concepts for advanced semiconductor applications.
You understand customer challenges, uncover the underlying application needs, and translate them into scalable and effective system architectures. You make fundamental technical decisions, identify risks, and provide direction to multidisciplinary teams.
You bring together technology, market needs, and engineering expertise to create concepts that are both differentiated and deliverable.
You are also a trusted technical counterpart for customers and partners, helping them make informed decisions and building confidence in the chosen solution.
What You Will Do
Define system architectures for new semiconductor systems and technology platforms.
Translate customer needs into differentiated product concepts.
Lead feasibility, concept, and system definition phases.
Identify opportunities for new technologies and intellectual property.
Lead technical decision-making within multidisciplinary teams.
Integrate mechanics, software, electronics, physics, and systems engineering into coherent solutions.
Guide the transition from architecture to implementation.
Represent Settels Savenije technically towards customers, partners, and strategic alliances.
Present and defend technical concepts to stakeholders and decision-makers.
Coach and challenge engineers and lead engineers.
Who You Are
Above all, you are a strong technical architect.
You combine deep technical expertise with a broad multidisciplinary perspective and quickly understand new domains. You influence through knowledge and substance rather than hierarchy.
You are comfortable engaging with engineers, customers, and technical decision-makers. You ask the right questions, navigate complexity, and create support for key technical decisions.
What We Are Looking For
Master's degree or equivalent academic level.
Minimum 15 years of experience in high-tech system development.
Deep expertise in at least one technical discipline combined with a multidisciplinary mindset.
Experience in systems engineering, architecture development, and complex technical challenges.
Experience leading concept, definition, and implementation phases.
Ability to provide technical direction to teams.
Experience with customer engagement and stakeholder management.
Entrepreneurial and curious mindset.
Semiconductor experience is a strong advantage.
Why Settels Savenije?
You will not be joining a company focused on optimizing existing products.
You will help shape the technological direction of Settels Savenije for the next decade. You will work on technologies that can become proprietary IP, develop solutions for the world's most advanced industry, and collaborate with organizations that define global semiconductor standards.
We are not looking for a system architect who executes projects.
