HIRING | SENIOR IBM i / AS400 SPECIALIST – CORE MODERNIZATION
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Senior IBM i / AS400 Specialist with strong hands-on expertise in COBOL, DB2 for i, SQL, and Python on IBM i. You will work as the offshore execution arm of the Onshore IBM i Lead, focusing on legacy system analysis, COBOL reverse engineering, business logic discovery, system dependencies, documentation, test environments, and test-data preparation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Not a Cloud, DevOps, Kubernetes, or generic backend role.
EXPECTATIONS
Core Responsibilities
The specialist will focus on legacy system analysis, COBOL reverse engineering, and business logic discovery to support core modernization efforts. They are responsible for managing QA/UAT environments, validating test data, and collaborating with the onshore lead to document system behaviors.
Requirements
Candidates must have over 12 years of experience with IBM i/AS400 systems, including strong proficiency in COBOL, Python, and DB2. Excellent English communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with the modernization team and document technical flows.
