Doelstelling van de functie
Het opstellen van begrotingen op basis van eigen werk of dat van subcontractors voor potentiele opdrachten en ondersteuning bieden aan het tenderteam.
De Project Estimator rapporteert aan de Commercial Manager.
Kernactiviteiten
- Het doornemen van aangeleverde klantspecificaties en de daaruit voortkomende werklast beoordelen;
- Opstellen van een planning voor zichzelf om een begroting uit te werken;
- Het verrichten van inspecties van het te repareren/verbouwen object;
- Het bijwonen van vergaderingen met (potentiële) klanten/leveranciers;
- Het opstellen van kostprijscalculaties voor allerlei soorten schepen, variërend van kleine reparatie tot een volledige ombouw op basis van klantspecificatie;
- Bedenken en/of verifiëren van technische/logistieke oplossingen ten behoeve van een project;
- Prijzen en voorwaarden aanvragen bij leveranciers/onderaannemers voor goederen en diensten;
- De commerciële afdeling adviseren tijdens de onderhandelingen bij aanname van projecten;
- Samenwerking met de diverse project gerelateerde afdelingen (Inkoop, Cost Engineers, Projectmanagers) om benodigde informatie te delen/verkrijgen tussen/vanuit de afdelingen;
- Samenwerking met de tenderteams voor de grote projecten om tot een complete aanbieding te komen;
- Input leveren aan de betrokken stakeholders voor diverse beslismomenten (bid/no-bid, risicoanalyse, risk board tijdens het tenderproces.
- Evalueren van gemaakte begroting in samenwerking met de Commercial Manager;
- Onderaannemers terugkoppelen over aangeboden offerte;
- Bijwonen van projectevaluaties die geïnitieerd worden door Projectmanagement;
- Input leveren aan de afdeling Inkoop voor leveranciersbeoordelingen.

Core Responsibilities
The Project Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates for ship repair and conversion projects based on client specifications. They also support the tender team by coordinating with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure accurate project planning and risk assessment.
Requirements
The role requires experience in technical cost calculation and the ability to interpret complex client specifications for maritime projects. Strong communication skills are necessary for negotiating with suppliers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
