Job Description
We are seeking an experienced
Production & Milling Supervisor to oversee daily milling and production
operations within a food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible
for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining equipment reliability,
upholding food safety and quality standards, and leading a production team to
achieve operational excellence.
The successful candidate will combine
strong technical expertise with leadership skills to drive productivity,
continuous improvement, and a culture of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
- Manage daily production and
milling activities to meet operational targets.
- Coordinate production schedules
and resource allocation.
- Optimize the use of manpower,
machinery, and raw materials.
- Ensure smooth and uninterrupted
production operations.
Production Monitoring
- Monitor production processes
and performance metrics.
- Identify operational issues and
implement corrective actions promptly.
- Ensure equipment settings and
production parameters meet product specifications.
- Maintain accurate production
records and reports.
Equipment Maintenance
- Plan and coordinate preventive
maintenance activities.
- Conduct routine inspections of
production equipment.
- Collaborate with maintenance
teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support initiatives that
improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Food Safety & Quality
- Ensure compliance with food
safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Support implementation and
maintenance of HACCP and food safety systems.
- Monitor production quality and
drive corrective actions where necessary.
- Contribute to successful
internal and external audits.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to
improve efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
- Support implementation of
process improvement initiatives.
- Assist in waste reduction and
operational optimization projects.
Health, Safety &
Environment
- Promote and maintain a safe
working environment.
- Ensure compliance with
workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Report and address unsafe
conditions and incidents.
- Foster a strong safety culture
across the production team.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and motivate
production personnel.
- Monitor team performance and
support employee development.
- Promote teamwork,
accountability, and effective communication.
- Assist with training and
onboarding of new employees.
Requirements
Education &
Technical Knowledge
- Technical vocational diploma or
bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of milling,
manufacturing, or food production processes.
- Understanding of HACCP, food
safety, and quality management systems.
- Technical aptitude and
understanding of industrial machinery and maintenance.
- Strong planning,
organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience
in a production, manufacturing, or food processing environment.
- Previous supervisory or team
leadership experience preferred.
- Experience working within
quality-driven production environments is an asset.
