The Den, ‘s-Hertogenbosch is part of Marriott International’s Tribute Portfolio and is operated by the Odyssey Hotel Group, Europe’s fastest-growing hotel management company. We opened in March 2022 in the Paleiskwartier district — just a short walk from the central station and the heart of the city.

The hotel features 160 stylish rooms, flexible meeting spaces, a lively ground-floor bar, and Current Rooftop Restaurant & Bar — the city’s first rooftop dining experience. From calm weekday elegance to vibrant weekend energy, The Den is a destination where urban lifestyle and local warmth meet.

THE POSITION

As Front Office Manager, you are the operational anchor and the warm face that defines the first and last impression of our guest experience. You lead the Front Office team, oversee daily operations, and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure every guest feels seen, valued, and welcomed — from check-in to check-out and everything in between.

You combine strategic thinking with genuine hospitality and know how to create structure without losing the human touch. Whether resolving a challenge or celebrating a team win, you’re always a step ahead.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and develop the Front Office team with a focus on guest satisfaction and team growth

  • Ensure smooth and guest-focused check-in and check-out processes

  • Drive improvements in guest feedback and online reputation

  • Oversee scheduling and staffing aligned with business needs

  • Analyse, adjust and optimise operational processes and service flows

  • Manage guest complaints with empathy and ownership

  • Monitor and control departmental budgets and cost efficiency

  • Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards and operational guidelines

WHAT YOU BRING – EXPERTISE WITH FLAIR

  • A completed bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or a related field

  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar leadership role within Front Office operations

  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written

  • Familiarity with Opera PMS and Marriott systems is a strong plus

  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

  • A solution-oriented mindset and the ability to lead by example

  • A genuine passion for hospitality, team development, and service excellence
