YOUR ROLE
As a Logistics Team Leader, you are the center of our logistics operation. Together with your team, you determine the success of one of the largest and most automated distribution centers in the Netherlands. In the role of Logistics Team Leader, you will successfully lead a sub-process on unloading/receiving, stowing/picking or packing/expedition.
Your team consists of approximately 20 operators and 2 to 4 team coordinators who are specialized in the process. You motivate and inspire your team to achieve goals and work constructively on the development of your people. You scan the process, but also the people in the process, with a focus on individual and team development.
This is possible because you have daily contact with your colleagues in the Control Room. This is the control tower of our warehouse, which advises you on numbers, ratios, and planning. In the role of Logistics Team Leader, you report to the Operations Manager.
- Managing, coaching, developing, and evaluating employees in your team;
- Leading the daily operation and responsible for achieving KPI’s and plans;
- Making the right decisions for an optimal overall process in collaboration with your colleagues and the Control Room;
- Optimizing the efficiency of people, resources, and machines;
- Making improvement proposals with regard to the logistics process;
- Conducting measurements, making reports and analyses;
- Conducting performance and appraisal interviews, absenteeism guidance;
- Ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
WHERE WILL YOU WORK?
As Team Leader Control Room, you are responsible for a team of 10 employees, including Equipment Controlroom Specialists, Operational Controlroom Specialists, and Process Controlroom Specialists. You report to the Control Room Manager from your base in Bleiswijk. You will work in shifts:
- Day shift from 06:15 AM till 14:45 PM;
- Evening shift from 14:45 PM till 23:15 PM;
- Night shift from 23:15 PM till 06:15 AM;
- Alternating per week, you work in the day and evening shift;
- Every 3 weeks approximately, you work on a Sunday shift;
- Every 10 weeks approximately, you work on a night shift;
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- By nature, you are a people manager and have previously managed a team in a similar work environment;
- You are ambitious, a go-getter, and able to handle stress;
- You have gained at least 3 years of work experience in a dynamic work environment;
- You are inventive in your solutions and have a proactive work attitude;
- Full-time available and flexible, 2 shifts, which may be divided into 3 shifts;
- Proficient in English, in writing and speaking.

- A gross monthly salary between € 2.946 and € 4.187 plus 8% holiday pay (classification depending on, among other things, your work experience and level of education);

- Travel allowance from a 10 km home-work distance;
