This is an exciting opportunity to lead the deployment of the Mars Snacking Q&FS strategy at site level, driving continuous improvement, strengthening our quality culture and ensuring compliance with global standards. You'll be a key member of the Site Leadership Team, influencing decisions, developing people and making a real impact across the business.

What will be your key responsibilities?
 

As Q&FS Manager, you will be the site leader for all Quality & Food Safety activities, ensuring excellence is embedded in everything we do.

  • Lead, coach and support a team of Q&FS Associates, ensuring they have the necessary resources, technical skills and competencies to succeed within their roles 
  • Actively be part of the Site Leadership team, supporting the development and implementation of the Single site improvement plan. 
  • Provide cross-functional leadership to ensure the development of a clear roadmap to full compliance to all global Q&FS standards, collaborating with local and central teams to ensure the necessary resources and capital are secured 
  • Ensure the integration of Q&FS procedures and processes into manufacturing operating systems 
  • Act as the incident owner for Q&FS incidents on site in line with our PRIMP standard, and lead the implementation of robust corrective and preventative actions 
  • Lead and participate in regional Q&FS communities to promote the effective sharing of knowledge and experience across our business 
  • Lead regional or cross-site activities and projects in line with our regional Q&FS strategy, and in collaboration with our network of sites. 

    What are we looking for?

    • Extensive experience in a technical function
    • Degree level qualification in a relevant technical or scientific discipline (Food Science/Technology, Biological, Chemical, Engineering sciences), or equivalent, or equivalent experience
    • Experience in leading and managing projects in an FMCG environment
    • Proven line management/supervisory experience or a proven track record in coaching and developing teams and individuals
    • Knowledge of Quality & Food Safety management systems and standards
    • Knowledge of the technologies, processes, formulations and raw materials used in the manufacture of food products is preferred
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Good command of the English language

    The Quality & Food Safety Manager leads all site-level quality and safety activities, ensuring compliance with global standards and driving continuous improvement. They provide cross-functional leadership, manage the Q&FS team, and act as the incident owner for site-related quality issues.

    Requirements

    Candidates must have extensive experience in a technical function and a degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline. Proven experience in project management, team leadership, and knowledge of food safety management systems is required.
