Packaging Project Manager

Location: Zwolle, Netherlands
Division: ANSC
Reporting to: Michael X McGreal, Manager Packaging Engineering Operations

Are you an experienced project manager with a passion for packaging, engineering, and delivering complex projects? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can lead cross-functional teams and drive business-critical initiatives from concept to implementation?
We are looking for a Packaging Project Manager to join our ANSC team in Zwolle. In this role, you will take ownership of strategically important packaging projects, ensuring successful delivery on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

As a Packaging Project Manager, you will lead complex packaging-related projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve key business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the full project lifecycle from planning through implementation and post-project evaluation.
  • Developing project plans, timelines, budgets, forecasts, and resource requirements.
  • Monitoring project progress and performance against agreed objectives and milestones.
  • Identifying risks, resolving challenges, and implementing corrective actions to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinating internal stakeholders across engineering, technical, operations, and other functional teams.
  • Securing and managing project resources, including equipment, materials, and external partners.
  • Selecting and overseeing contractors and suppliers to ensure quality, compliance, and service excellence.
  • Leading project meetings and providing clear communication on project status, risks, and achievements.
  • Setting priorities, allocating tasks, and guiding project team members to deliver results.
  • Driving continuous improvement by conducting post-implementation reviews and capturing lessons learned.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a project management professional who combines technical expertise with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Significant experience managing complex packaging or engineering projects within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, planning tools, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Proven ability to manage external suppliers and contractors.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality results.
  • Fluent English communication skills; Dutch language skills are advantageous.
