About the role.

The Global Trade Compliance Manager, Snacking Portfolio reports to the Director, Global Trade Compliance and leads trade compliance strategy and coordination for McCain’s global snacking business. This role supports key growth initiatives including new product launches, market expansions, co-manufacturing partnerships, and supply chain changes. Working across regions, the role embeds trade compliance into business decisions, proactively manages risk, and enables efficient market access for strategic growth opportunities.

What you’ll be doing.

  • Serve as the primary trade compliance contact for global Snacking growth initiatives, including new product launches, market expansions, and co-manufacturing partnerships.
  • Partner with business teams and regional trade compliance managers to identify requirements, risks, and market access considerations early in project planning.
  • Coordinate trade compliance execution across multiple regions, aligning subject matter experts, requirements, and project timelines.
  • Lead trade compliance workstreams, manage risk, and provide recommendations that support effective business decisions.
  • Develop global guidance, tools, templates, and documentation frameworks that support consistent and scalable compliance practices.
  • Build expertise in specialized trade requirements and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and collaboration across regions.
  • Manage multiple concurrent global projects, ensuring milestones, dependencies, and risks are effectively monitored and addressed.
  • Maintain centralized records of compliance decisions, risks, and project outcomes.
  • Provide leadership reporting and drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and best-practice sharing.

What you’ll need to be successful.

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Food Science, Law, or a related field.
  • Professional trade compliance certifications such as CCS, CES, or Licensed Customs Broker are considered assets.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in trade compliance, customs, international trade, supply chain, or related project management roles.
  • Experience supporting new product launches, market expansions, supply chain transformations, or other complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of tariff classification, origin determination, import/export requirements, licensing, and trade documentation.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to deliver results without direct authority.
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving capability, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical guidance.
  • Food, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or agri-food industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with trade compliance systems such as SAP GTS or Oracle GTM is an asset.
  • Demonstrated strengths in program and portfolio management, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, change management, facilitation, collaboration, and influencing.

About the team.

The role sits within the Global Trade Compliance organization and reports directly to the Director, Global Trade Compliance. While the position has no direct reports, it collaborates extensively with Global and Regional Supply Chain, R&D, Food Regulatory, Procurement, and Logistics teams, as well as external consultants, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies. Occasional global travel is required to support business initiatives and stakeholder engagement. This role operates in a hybrid work environment with a minimum expectation of three days per week in the office.
