Description
As Quality Engineer, the successful candidate will play a key role in directing the investigation, identification, and resolution of issues within design, specification, installation, commissioning, handover, service, warranty, and sustaining operations. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise as well as critical thinking ability.
Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for the following:
· Incoming and In Process Support: Support in managing and developing programs and reporting systems for all product types globally in collaboration with Program Management. Lead global engagement to enable shared processes development and usage.
· Issues Resolution Leadership: Lead and drive issues to resolutions through hyper collaboration across the entirety of the Organization. Go to the work and drive a solution for corrective and preventative actions.
· Documentation and Quality Record Maintenance: Maintain quality records such as inspection reports, test data, and non‑conformance logs. Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with company quality procedures and regulatory requirements for energy storage products.
· Testing and Validation Support: Assist in quality testing activities for assembled battery energy storage containers, including functional testing, safety checks, wiring verification, and system-level commissioning tests. Help ensure units meet performance and reliability standards before shipment
· Issues Triage: Serve as the front line for the quality intake systems and tasked with reducing ticket backlog and intake though the incorporation of lessons learned. Work to ensure tickets are properly assigned, prioritized, and evaluated for commercial risk. Use data analytics to review Non-Conformance Requests in the form of CAPAs, JIRAs, NCRs, and more.
· Product Readiness: Drive product development cycle decisions using quality-based business intelligence systems. Work alongside Product Development and Engineering throughout the various Product Stage Gates to ensure the product delivered is complete and of high quality.
Required Experience
To qualify for this opportunity, the following experience is considered:
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field required
· 1-3+ years of experience in quality, engineering, or operations roles within manufacturing and or energy sectors, with proven success supporting customer-facing project teams and collaborating across global organizations.
· Proven experience managing quality engineering non conformities and driving alignment across regional organizations.
· Deep understanding of at least two of the following domains: Software & Controls, Batteries, Inverters, Transformers, Civil Structural, Electrical Systems.
· Strong background in developing and implementing proactive quality systems, risk management frameworks, and lifecycle improvement processes.
· Demonstrated success driving product readiness and launch scalability in partnership with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams.
· Strong analytical mindset with a track record of data-driven decision making tied to cost and performance outcomes.
· Ability to lead through influence and foster collaboration across functions and cultures.
· Experience with supplier quality management, product lifecycle integration, and change control processes.
· Familiarity with quality assurance for product and design changes, including compliance, validation, and risk mitigation.
· 1-3+ Years of working in large scale (100MWpeak +) renewable energy projects or related fields.
· Comprehensive Commercial Knowledge: strong ability to interpret legal agreements and establish a position on behalf of the regional organization.

The Quality Engineer will lead the investigation and resolution of product issues across the entire lifecycle, from design to commissioning. They are responsible for maintaining quality records, supporting testing activities, and driving product readiness through data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field and possess 1-3+ years of experience in quality or operations within the manufacturing or energy sectors. A deep understanding of energy storage domains and strong analytical skills are required to manage quality systems and drive cross-functional alignment.
