Finance Manager BP - Capital Investment

Based in : Geleen (Maastricht), Netherlands

Your role


 
As Finance Business Partner you will closely work with Business Leadership and Operations to translate business and financial insights into actionable recommendations that improve growth, profitability, and cash flow.
 
In collaboration with your stakeholders at global level, you will lead performance management, enable cost excellence, improve inventory and working capital management and lead planning & forecasting. You will serve as the financial lead for capital investments, providing business case analysis, investment recommendations, financial reporting, and value realization tracking
  
You are a financial business partner who provides forward-looking analysis, challenges assumptions, and who is a trusted business partner at the table when decision are made.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead monthly closing, delivering actionable P&L insights, improve forecast accuracy through close collaboration with stakeholders
  • Lead financial evaluation and governance of capex investments and business cases, support the development of long-range capital plans
  • Create robust inventory and working capital management and provide insights in inventory movements and working capital performance including reserves (MRB/SLOB), NRV, and adjustments
  • Drive cost excellence through strong cost accounting, supporting ongoing improvement of cost structures (standard costing, cost roll processes purchase price variance and cost performance drivers)
  • Own site-level planning cycles, including labor and overhead rate setting and spend planning
  • Mobilizes the organization, across functions, to activate improvement initiatives that drive value creation opportunities

You bring

  • Background in finance or related field.
  • Experience of 10+ years in Operations Finance, FP&A, Capital Investiment.
  • Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Confident use of data, digital tools, and AI
  • Experience in manufacturing, operations or supply chain environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in capital investment analysis and business case development.
  • A proactive, hands-on mindset combined with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, other languages are an advantage.
