Job Description

About the role:

As the Product Owner for Guest Technology, you will lead the evolution of Landal’s guest-facing digital and on-site technology platforms — ensuring that every interaction, from booking to check-out, is seamless, intuitive, and memorable. You will own the full lifecycle of the guest technology ecosystem — including mobile apps, digital key access, Smart energy, self-service kiosks, Point of sales and in-park connectivity — ensuring these systems enhance the guest journey and support Landal’s brand promise.

Operating within the Business Product Technology organisation, you will align technology strategy with the commercial, operations, and digital experience teams. Your mission is to ensure every guest interaction is supported by reliable, secure, and innovative technology solutions that improve convenience, drive satisfaction, and enable operational efficiency.

What will you do:

You will act as the strategic and operational owner for Landal’s Guest Technology platforms. Operating under the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) framework, you will be accountable for defining and executing the product vision, roadmap, and governance model for all guest-facing technologies — both digital and physical.

You’ll work closely with Product Owners across PMS, POS, and Commerce, as well as Guest Services, Digital, and Operations teams, ensuring that every product in the guest experience ecosystem works together cohesively. You will also manage and mentor the Guest Technology Business Analyst(s), ensuring clear requirements definition, quality delivery, and continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities

Product Lifecycle & Vision

·                Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for all guest-facing technology platforms across Landal’s properties.

·                Manage the product lifecycle — from ideation and implementation through to optimisation, renewal, or replacement.

·                Align guest technology innovation with Landal’s strategic goals for guest experience, digital transformation, and operational efficiency.

·                Ensure all guest technology products integrate seamlessly with PMS, POS, CRM, and Digital Commerce systems.

·                Define product KPIs around guest satisfaction (NPS), usage adoption, reliability, and ROI.

Stakeholder Management & Governance

·                Act as the primary liaison between Guest Services, Operations, Digital, and IT for all guest technology topics.

·                Represent the guest technology roadmap in business reviews, transformation forums, and technology governance sessions.

·                Lead roadmap and vendor alignment meetings with strategic partners and internal sponsors.

·                Maintain transparent communication with property teams and ensure feedback loops from on-site guest usage are embedded in product evolution.

Backlog & Delivery Management

·                Prioritise the guest technology product backlog, balancing guest experience, operational impact, and financial value.

·                Collaborate with Business Analysts and vendors to define epics, user stories, and functional requirements.

·                Oversee solution delivery — including configuration, integration, testing, and deployment across multiple sites.

·                Validate new capabilities and ensure they meet both technical and experiential standards.

·                Apply Agile methodologies to accelerate feature delivery and maintain iterative improvement cycles.

Vendor & Partner Coordination

·                Manage vendor relationships for guest-facing technologies, including Point of Sales, access control, smart energy providers, IoT

·                Ensure alignment with Landal’s IT strategy, architecture, and security standards.

·                Review vendor SLAs, software updates, and release management processes.

·                Negotiate change requests, enhancements, and new product integrations.

·                Coordinate product roadmaps with external partners to deliver joint innovation (e.g., mobile check-in, smart room automation).

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

·                Collaborate with Service Managers and Operations to ensure system performance, uptime, and support coverage meet guest expectations.

·                Analyse usage data, incident trends, and guest feedback to drive improvements.

·                Define configuration and support standards for guest technology across all properties.

·                Champion a “guest-first” mindset in the evaluation of all enhancements or new technology investments.

·                Explore emerging technologies (IoT, NFC, voice, AR/VR) to improve guest engagement and efficiency.

People Leadership

·                Provide professional development support for Business Analysts.

·                Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and innovation within the guest technology function.

·                Promote collaboration between business and IT teams, ensuring smooth delivery and adoption of guest-facing solutions.

·                Encourage proactive engagement with guest-facing teams to identify new opportunities for improvement.

Compliance & Risk Management

·                Ensure compliance with GDPR, data privacy, and security policies across all guest systems.
·                Manage vendor adherence to Landal’s IT and data security standards.
·                Support risk assessments, penetration testing, and audits for guest-facing systems.
·                Maintain continuity and recovery plans for mission-critical guest technologies (e.g., access control, payments, connectivity).
