De Functie
De Production Planning Specialist is verantwoordelijk voor het afstemmen van klantvraag op productie- en supply‑planning om tijdige levering, optimale voorraadniveaus en efficiënt gebruik van middelen te waarborgen. Deze rol fungeert als schakel tussen sales, operations en inkoop, en zorgt voor afstemming van forecasting, productieplanning en materiaalbeheer.
Wat Je Gaat Doen
- Demand Planning: Analyseren van verkooptrends, klantprognoses en marktgegevens om nauwkeurige vraagvoorspellingen te ontwikkelen.
- Productieplanning: Opstellen en onderhouden van gedetailleerde productieplanningen op basis van verwachte vraag, voorraadniveaus en beschikbare capaciteit.
- Materiaalplanning: Samenwerken met inkoopteams om ervoor te zorgen dat grondstoffen en componenten tijdig beschikbaar zijn voor de productie.
- Capaciteitsanalyse: Evalueren van productiecapaciteit en bijsturen van planningen om middelen optimaal te benutten en knelpunten te minimaliseren.
- Voorraadbeheer: Handhaven van passende voorraadniveaus om stockouts of overstocking te voorkomen, met gebruik van best practices voor voorraadbeheer.
- S&OP: Actieve deelname aan Sales & Operations Planning‑processen, inclusief het geven van inzichten in productiemogelijkheden, doorlooptijden en vraagfluctuaties.
- Monitoring & Aanpassingen: Dagelijkse voortgang van productie volgen, planningen indien nodig aanpassen en wijzigingen proactief communiceren naar stakeholders.
- Rapportage & Analyse: Regelmatige rapportages leveren over productieprestaties, forecast‑nauwkeurigheid, voorraadrotatie en supply chain KPI’s.
Ondersteunende Taken
Deze functie kan daarnaast de volgende ondersteunende werkzaamheden omvatten. De tijdsbesteding wordt bepaald door de leidinggevende:

- Cross-functionele communicatie: Fungeren als belangrijke verbindingspersoon tussen sales, operations, inkoop en logistiek om vraag‑ en aanbodplannen op elkaar af te stemmen.

Opleiding
- Bachelor in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industriële Techniek of een gerelateerd vakgebied.
Ervaring
- 2–4 jaar ervaring in productieplanning, demand planning of supply chain‑functies.
Licenties en Certificeringen
- In staat zijn een Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag (VOG) te verkrijgen.

The Opportunity
The Production Planning Specialist is responsible for balancing customer demand with production and supply planning to ensure timely delivery, optimal inventory levels, and efficient resource utilization. They act as a bridge between sales, operations, and procurement, aligning forecasting, scheduling, and materials management.
What You'll Do
- Demand Planning: Analyze sales trends, customer forecasts, and market data to develop accurate demand plans.
- Production Scheduling: Create and maintain detailed production schedules based on forecasted demand, inventory levels, and available capacity.
- Material Planning: Work with procurement teams to ensure raw materials and components are available on time to meet production needs.
- Capacity Analysis: Evaluate production capacity and adjust planning to optimize resource utilization and minimize bottlenecks.
- Inventory Management: Maintain appropriate inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking, using inventory control best practices.
- Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): Participate actively in S&OP processes, providing insights on production capabilities, lead times, and demand fluctuations.
- Monitoring and Adjustments: Track daily production progress, adjust schedules as necessary, and communicate changes proactively to stakeholders.
- Reporting and Analytics: Provide regular reports on production performance, forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and supply chain KPIs.
Supportive Functions
In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the company.
