The role
Als Cost Engineer ben jij de financiële spil binnen onze projectorganisatie. Je ondersteunt de Project Manager vanaf de start van een project tot en met de eindfacturatie. Je analyseert kosten, verwerkt meer- en minderwerk, stelt calculaties en (eind)facturen op en licht deze indien nodig toe aan klanten. Met jouw financiële scherpte en inzicht in projectkosten zorg je voor grip en draag je direct bij aan het rendement van onze projecten.

Key responsibilities

Financiële projectbeheersing

  • Inrichten en bijhouden van projecten in het ERP-systeem (IFS)
  • Dagelijks up-to-date houden van financiële overzichten
  • Verzamelen, controleren en analyseren van kosteninformatie
  • Signaleren van afwijkingen, risico’s en kansen en deze proactief bespreken met de Projectmanager

Calculatie, offertes &facturatie

  • Analyseren van offertes, contracten en technische specificaties
  • Opstellen van meer-en minderwerkcalculaties op basis van interne input en eigen waarnemingen
  • Voorbereiden en opstellen van meerwerkoffertes en volledige, correcte eindfacturen

Projectondersteuning

  • Regelmatig bezoeken van projecten om werkzaamheden en kostenimpact goed in te schatten
  • Vertalen van technische informatie naar duidelijke financiële consequenties
  • Bijdragen aan procesverbeteringen binnen project-finance- en calculatieprocessen

Skills & Experience

  • MBO+/HBO  in een financiële richting (bijv. finance/cost engineering)
  • Ervaring of affiniteit met scheepsreparatie
  • Excel kent geen geheimen voor jou en kennis van BI tools is een pré
  • Technische kennis is mooi meegenomen, maar leren we je ook graag
  • Spreekt Nederlands en Engels is een pré

  • Communicatief vaardig, ook onder tijdsdruk

Core Responsibilities

The Cost Engineer acts as the financial pivot of the project organization, supporting the Project Manager from start to final invoicing. Key duties include analyzing costs, managing change orders, and preparing calculations and invoices to ensure project profitability.

Requirements

Candidates should have an MBO+/HBO degree in a financial direction and proficiency in Excel, with BI tool knowledge being a plus. Experience or affinity with ship repair and fluency in Dutch are required, while English is preferred.
