Primary function: To provide leadership in managing the Energy and Electricity Business Unit towards sustainable growth, innovation and excellence in delivering energy solutions for the City of Tshwane. The incumbent will be subject to legislated context responsibilities, national standards and the directives of the City Manager, and exercise control over the following key performance areas with the aim to maintain an impartial, accountable, transparent and efficient Energy and Electricity Business Unit within the City of Tshwane:

Provide strategic leadership and management for the Energy and Electricity Business Unit to ensure sustainable growth and excellence in energy solutions for the City of Tshwane. Oversee electricity planning, distribution operations, financial management, and legislative compliance.
Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a degree in business or commercial management, with professional registration with ECSA. Candidates must have 12 years of management experience, including at least five years at a senior management level.
